Oracle Collaborative Planning will replace Trading Partner Collaboration (TPC) for demand sharing and supplier commitments. Planning horizon will be 13 months at Go-Live vs. Current TPC horizon of 12 months. The Planning horizon will be expanded to 18 months later. In Collaborative Planning, suppliers will receive net demand in the form of planned orders. These planned orders are defined as supply required by the planning module in Oracle and already consider safety stock.
Forecasts (Planned Orders) are shared in the Collaborative Planning application. Suppliers are expected to plan and build per Planned Orders. MSI will issue Purchase Orders for Supplier to ship and invoice against. MSI's liability is limited to the lead-time of Planned Order items. Suppliers are required to provide commitments throughout the horizon - against open POs in iSupplier and then CP for the balance.
Mass update capability is available in Collaborative Planning. Agile PLM is MSI’s Product Lifecycle Management manufactured by Oracle.

Until this job, I've never worked with these things before! I need to update the wireless card driver on our Symbol MC9090 handheld scanners. How in the heck do you do this?
I can see the 'Symbol PHOTON Wireless LAN Driver' adapters (each of our handhelds lists two of these). Do I just browse through the internet on them to the Symbol website, or is there a way to transfer files to them if they're parked on their charging station? Of course ours have no documentation or support, whatsoever. If anybody can shed any light on these beasts, please share! Well.found out that the units are old and we don't really have a service contract.
What we have is a certified Motorola re-seller that will gladly help out if the price is right. They sent me a link to the firmware on the Motorola website. I then jumped all the hoops of creating a Motorola account, only to find out I couldn't get to the download. Most of the units don't have a serial number (they've been rubbed off due to wear), so we sent one in and they updated it.
They also sent me back a couple SD cards with the OS and firmware (for a nominal fee). Problem is, I don't think any of these units have an SD slot; at least nowhere visible that I can see. The handhelds are constantly in use so I'm trying to work on them as time allows. Of the 2-3 (of 6) that I've had in hand, they already had the most up to date NIC driver. I found an old XP laptop that I installed ActiveSync on, but I haven't actually updated any firmware yet.
If and when I find a unit that needs updated, I'll be sure to post again with an update. PaksherHelpDesk wrote: Well.found out that the units are old and we don't really have a service contract.

Not only do you need a login to access the Motorola site to find the firmware you want, you also need a valid serial number of a unit covered under an active service contract to get the download. In a pinch -and if you have a Motorola support contact - they may be kind enough to post the file to dropbox where you can get it. There are some models I've seen that have 'public' firmware downloads. And for those Motorola doesn't ask for the serial number. I assume those models are no longer produced and the software is pretty much abandoned.
Zebra has aquired the handheld division. So all this may change in the coming months ahead. I have this very same issue.(when my guns die they lose their new network profile and revert back to the old network config), and I have seen a myriad of different pieces of software to use (so I'll just trial and error on that). My real concern is that I have been told that older Symbol/Motorola guns have to be hooked up to a computer via another piece of hardware (like a cradle or dock).
Can someone confirm that this is needed, and more importantly can you point me to the right dock/cradle? Please and THANK YOU ALL!
